The Venetian Club

The Venetian Club has been established to make accessible to its members traditional activities that historically were central to the cultural and commercial existence of the Republic and continue, to this day, to be synonymous with Venice.

By bringing together a “family” of Artisans who, as part of their commitment to Venice, teach small groups their respective craft skills. These experiences give our Members affordable alternative activities and go beyond traditional tourism; enabling our Members to be where they want to be - at the heart of living Venice.

 

How It Works

Join the club and you will become eligible to participate in the living craft traditions of Venice, either at discounted rates, or through those selected activities that are exclusive to the Venetian Club.

We have compiled a selection of Hotels and Restaurants offering discounts to our members, as listed in the Members Section. Additionally, we offer guidance to a range of restaurants and bars.

Alternatively, for your accommodation, we have also compiled a range of Self Catering Flats which can enhance your Venetian experience by allowing you to "Live Like a Venetian". 

Participation not Observation

The core precept of The Venetian Club is to offer lessons/classes that cater to small groups of one, two, or three. This intimate “hands on” approach allows Members to fully benefit from their experiences and take away with them skills, background, and practical knowledge of Venetian craft heritage.

These crafts are united and driven by a common denominator – the artisans’ passion and commitment they share for Venice generally and their individual disciplines in particular.

Member-Driven Scheduling

The Venetian Club does not see itself as a tour operator scheduling and organising its members’ visits to Venice.  The approach taken by the Club is to allow its members to sign up for Activities directly, through the Contacts Page of the Members’ Section.

The structure of Activities is not rigid but fluid to allow Members to tailor their respective lessons/classes to fit their individual itineraries, schedules, and interests.
